HEALING FROM THE INSIDE OUT

Hello Fellow Believers,

I have a joyous update on my mammogram case.  Praise God, everything turned out all right!  To God be the glory!   I have learned that walking down that road of uncertainty is a hard one when the possibility of death stares you right in the face.  I believe He chooses the weak ones to make them strong and helps the strong ones to become even stronger Him … if we let Him.  There may be someone out there who is thinking “Could God really heal me? (Matt. 8:16)  Well, the answer is yes, He could, but the question is: what part of me is He going to heal?  The Lord may be trying to get your attention.  You say, what do you mean?  Well, you may be holding on to something in your past, like unforgiveness, resentment and bitterness which can grow in you like a cancer.  That may be the part He wants to heal and set you free from before anything else.  Search your heart and see if there really is no jealousy, greed or hatred toward someone.  It says in Matt. 5:23 “Therefore if you are offering your gift at the altar and then remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar.  First go and be reconciled to your brother, then come and offer your gift to God.”  So we may need to humble ourselves or stretch ourselves into doing something we should have taken care of long before now.  If I can do it, you can do it, and it is worth it.  Plus the bonus is not only will you feel better in your heart and mind, but our Lord will smile down on your endeavor and reward you with peace.  The more we devour the Word of God, the more we can anhilate our enemies that come against us and become more than conquerors through Him who loves us. 

This reminds me of something in my life that has changed.  Years ago I weighed almost 300 lbs.  Now I am about half that size.  I had to change something if I wanted to get well.  Everything I put in my body and mind had to change.  As the Lord helped me to develop a different kind of appetite for healthier foods, He also opened up my hunger for the Word of God.  Now that is a safe place to go when you are hungry or thirsty . . . His Word!  There are 0 fat grams or calories, but the great thing about it is, that you can burn up a lot of heavy attitudes and things that weigh you down spiritually, physically and emotionally.  Speaking about burning . . . below is some “quit smoking info” to help you prevent lung, throat and mouth cancer.  It helped me when I read this Scripture of focus:  Philippians 3:12-14:  “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” 

If you focus your eyes on things above . . . you will never stop believing in your God for your miracle!  Exodus 15:26 says “I am the Lord that healeth thee.”  Begin feeding on His Word everyday and your healing will begin from the inside out!
